 oldiers, spelunkers, castaways and just about everyone, have relied
on a Zippo at one time or another for either light or fire over the
last 70 years. There's no doubt that Tom Hanks, in
Cast Away, would have greatly preferred a Zippo over that little
flashlight.
Though the government is eradicating smoking by
imposing ever higher taxes and restrictions on public smoking; the Zippo
lives on with new models each year and through a large community of
collectors. Everyone, even if they've never smoked, needs at least one
Zippo in the 'junk' drawer.
