This director first gained acclaim for the very low budget Clerks, released back in 1994. The five films below represent the original planned "trilogy" of the adventures of Jay & Silent Bob. While all of the films contain coarse language and sexual innuendo, Dogma raised the most controversy because of the perceived mocking of the Catholic Church - be sure to watch the extra feature commentary on the DVD for some feedback on that from Kevin Smith.

The best plan of action is to watch the first four in order so that you have the complete background of all the characters and circumstances, then sit back and enjoy the wackiest of the bunch, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.
