Introduction
Whether
your plans include an hour of surf casting somewhere on the 127-miles of
coastline or spending a full day out on a party boat, you'll find an abundance
of resources at the Jersey Shore to fulfill your enjoyment. For inland residents, or
vacationers that haven't fished before, getting started is relatively
inexpensive and there are no licensing requirements for recreational pursuits.
Single
Line Drop
If you're just going to try your hand once during a vacation, the best
course of action is going to be hopping on a party boat - all of the
equipment needed will be provided and you'll be in the expert hands of an
experienced captain and first mate. Not only do they know where the fish
are, most of the time, you'll have assistance in landing your catch and
cleaning it during the trip back to shore. It may be best to opt for a
half-day trip and purchase some anti-motion sickness products if you get
queasy when reading during a car trip or have never been out on a boat
before. Don't let this worry you too much though; the vast majority of us
won't experience seasickness at all.
