VCR to a DVD player, the next logical step is adding a Home Theater
System to improve your overall experience - you haven't really seen
Pearl Harbor or We Were Soldiers until you've heard the
planes approaching from behind and the bullets whizzing past your ear.
There are two approaches to
take, the "in-a-box" complete systems, or building the system with
individual components. For most of us, the "in-a-box" approach
will be perfectly acceptable, providing good, if not "audiophile"
sound in some cases. However, there are top-of-the-line configurations
in this category as well. If you've not yet bought a DVD player, the
in-a-box systems that integrate a player in the package
may offer the best overall value.
